The selection was conducted in accordance with Florida Statute 287.055.  The project was advertised for three consecutive weeks with The Clay Today.  Selection Committee members were Jim Connell, Assistant Superintendent for Support Services, John Merrill, Director of Maintenance, and Carol Studdard, School Board Member.  

As a result of interviews and after due consideration, the Selection Committee recommends the following firms as listed in priority order:

1.  Harvard Jolly – Jacksonville, FL

2.  Akel, Logan, Shafer Architects/Planners – Jacksonville, FL

3.  R. Dean Scott Architect, Inc. – Jacksonville, FL

Appoint the top ranked firm, Harvard Jolly, at a fee of 6% of the construction cost for Middleburg Elementary School Renovation/Remodel Building 7 Architectural Services.

All funding necessary for the Architectural fees resulting from this contract are budgeted within the Educational Facilities Plan.  The project is budgeted for $900,000.00 in the Educational Facilities Plan.
